Welcome! I’m Talie, an Anxiety Coach for Overwhelmed Mothers

I help overwhelmed mothers quiet anxiety and the mental chatter so they can feel calm, peaceful, and more in control of their daily life.

 

In 2018 when I was pregnant with my third child I went from suffering from neonatal depression to PPD (Post Partum Depression) and it's lesser-known cousin PPA (Post Partum Anxiety). I went from being a ‘Human Being’ to a ‘Human Doing’.  I was going through all the motions of life, doing all the things that needed to be done, but robotically.

Here's what I learnt:

  • How much anxiety was holding me back. 

  • It’s one thing to know that it’s ok to reach out for help when I wasn't coping, it’s another thing to do it.  

  • Until I did get help, I was going to continue living as what felt like a shadow of my former self. I also wasn’t going to be the person, let alone the mother, I wanted to be. 

  • There was so much stigma surrounding mental health and only once I started to talk about my anxiety journey, specifically PPA, did other mothers open up about it. 

Eventually, I reached out to get the help I needed and developed techniques to help me overcome anxiety. When my baby turned 18 months I decided that I wanted to help other women who were going through what I went through and applied to the Jerusalem Coaching Institute. The course covered different areas of mental health, including anxiety and a practicum.

 

In our sessions together, you'll figure out how and when anxiety shows up in your life and what purpose it is serving you. You will walk away with tailor-made realistic techniques that you need to face the brain-freezing, paralysis-inducing daily mountain of tasks in a relaxed, smooth, and focused way. By drawing on your internal strengths and past achievements, you will go from feeling overwhelmed and held back by anxiety to feeling calm, peaceful, and functioning better daily.
